Default How can I exercise!

OK Everyone I was recently in a bad car wreck and I have had to have surgery on my right knee. I really can't move it much and I can barely walk. I totaled my brand new Mustang but luckily I had full coverage. So how can I exercise with the bad knee. I can't bend it AT ALL or put any kind of pressure on it.

What kind of "things" do you have access to, since lower body weight bearing activities are out. Like.. do you go to a gym, do you have dumbells at home? etc....

My best friend just had the same knee surgury and he can't really put too much presure on it for 3 months. OUCH. I say follow the LC plan to a Tee and hold off on anything until your Dr. clears you. I'm glad that you are okay. I was in a bad accident too back in 2002 and my ankle was really hurt. I'm also glad to see that you WANT to exercise. We don't see that much.

Get well!

I think you should probably ask that question of your surgeon and/or your physical therapist.

There's a guy at my gym who's had some serious knee surgery, he's got a brace on one leg and a cast on the other. He does seated upper body weights. The main limitation of this is, obviously, not to use weights so heavy that you'd need to brace your legs, so if your surgeon etc.give the go ahead then some exercise is possible.
