Hey uncledude!
The number of carbs that is good for one person may be too much or not enough for the next person. We are all individuals, and have individual needs based on our lifestyles.
I don't know if you have chosen a plan to follow, or if you are just looking for a general guideline. I would suggest picking a plan and reading the book and going from there. Some plans are more restrictive than others in the beginning and may not be good for a person with a very active lifestyle, whereas others allow for reward meals or even free days that are not good for people who are very carb "addicted" causing them to fall off the wagon, so to speak.
There is a link over to the right of the page "which low-carb plan is right for me?" which tells about each of the plans. This might be a good place to start.
I hope this helps!
