Talking Not so crispy chicken

I did better tonight with bbq chicken, watched it like a hawk. Came out yummy. I will get better at grilling, this was my second attempt. Kids ate it all up!!!

I didn't weigh today because I knew I would be disappointed. I am going to try and not weigh until at least Thursday. To not weigh and run to the kitchen and down a diet rite first thing so then I know I've already made myself heavier. I know it sounds crazy, but I cabn't keep getting on that evil scale.

I've read quite a few good posts today with whooshes and all. Congratulations to all that have whooshed and those who are sitcking with this no matter what.

Vicki

Default hi

I do recommend not getting on scales too early...You may be dissappointed...but just hang in there...It will come off...I didn't loose that much in the first week, but by the end of the 3rd week, I had lost 18 lbs...I had a few times, I'd gain, then loose down...I will have been on the atkins for 2 months this coming friday and have lost so far 21 lbs...sort of in a stall, but have added exercise...

Just hang in there...eat protien when your hungry....pork skins put into the microwave with cheddar cheese on top helped me through alot of the early days...

ya can do it...Trisha

Vicki,

Here's my new trick. I look at it, say NO in my head and immediately head out to the kitchen and drink a glass of water. Now, it's too late to weigh! Certainly don't want that water added in.

Even if it's not true the water would change my weight, it works for me. Now that I've been walking in the am, I put on my clothes immediately too.

Magic

Hi all,

Magic -- you are spot on right. Water will change your weight. A pint of water weighs one pound.

If you ever find yourself in the barren waste of a desert, crawling across the burning sands with an empty canteen desperate to find water, and if you happen to be carrying your scale, weigh yourself and see. Warning: Don't try this at home.

Your strategy gave me an early morning smile. Thanks.
