Default Helloooo

Hi everyone
Me and my partner have been LC for at least 6 months now. We're due to get married in Las Vegas in June and we're both finding that we lost motivation at times of stress and start eating bread and sweets again.
I've had a virus recently which made me lose my appetite and so he was buying me cookies to make me eat! We're both lacking motivation at the moment, even the memory of losing 21 pounds in my first 6 weeks doesn't do any good, so I'm reaching out to other LC's in the hope it'll do something, and maybe even find some LC's in my area!

Well, I'm not in the area but I will drop by to say hang in there!

Hard not to fall back to those comfort foods but if you're serious about lc you will replace them with new ones. Sweets just aren't worth it! (now bread is another matter but I digress)

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials, too!

Hi and welcome -

I think the best thing you can do is get to pure induction for a few days. This will clean you out again and then ketosis will help the cravings subside.

Then back on track bring your carbs up to where you were again and keep visiting us for support.

This isn't a diet you know. This is a way of life that is healthy and satisifying... while getting you the body you want!

Lightbulb times of stress

Hey, there-

When I have times of stress (last week my 20-yr-old daughter took a bunch of pills and tried to kill herself, THEN broke up with her boyfriend, & I am experiencing many changes of personnel in my office right now), I remind myself-hourly if necessary-that it is NOT worth going through carb withdrawal AGAIN!

I just strive to consume only as many calories as my body actually needs, while being careful to balance fats and protein with LOTS of veggies. And it is working.

You might also try reminding yourself and your beloved about the symptoms of carb addiction/blood sugar imbalance. Why go back to morning grogginess, afternoon sleepiness, mental fuzziness, cravings, etc, etc?

Hope some of this helps-good luck on the impending nuptials!!
