It is called Plumrose. I found it at my main grocery store. I did all the calculations and there was nothing hidden. I hope you can find it.

Default Bacon--no sugar added

I found no sugar added store label bacon at King Soopers.
The King Soopers chain is owned by Kroger, so I would guess that most Kroger or Kroger owned stores carry a similar brand.

Sam's Club has a package of cooked bacon
it is so nice not to have to clean up the greasy mess!
it is $7.50 and is the equivalent of 3 lbs. of uncooked bacon
Hormel black label I think??

pretty good

What I do is take the fat grams and multiply them by 9, take the carbs and protein and multiply them by 4 then add it all together and if it equals the amount of calories listed, then there is nothing hidden, if it doesn't come out, figure up the difference between what you came up with and what they say the calories are and divide that number by 4 and the answer is how many hidden carbs there are. Try it on the foods in your fridge and you will see how it works. Tuna in spring water is exact, use that to practice the formula and you will get an understanding of it.

Great! I didn't even know most bacon had sugar in it. Sigh--off to actually read some of my food packages.

Do not dispare - if you wash or soak bacon in warm water before cooking it you can get rid of most of the sugar and a lot of the sodium (salt).

I found that the Safeway brand low-sodium bacon also has no sugar.

We have a Whole Foods store in town, I will start there, its most likely my best shot. I have been eating Hormels Low sodium bacon. I figured I was doing something good with the low sodium part.

Default Sodium

If you are drinking the required amount of water (or more), and are exercizing, it is probably not necessary to limit your sodium. You are flushing it out of your body. At my last physical, the blood work showed sodium levels below normal.
