Default craving-causing and reducing foods

Hi,
I was just wondering if some CAD experts could list foods that cause cravings and foods that help reduce cravings for CAs? Thanks!

I am a little confused on what you are asking?? Do you mean all of the foods that are listed in the book that you can eat and all the ones you can't eat??

uh, i guess not all the foods... i just read that there were certain foods which can reduce cravings? Also, in another thread, there are certain foods that cause cravings like yogurt, cottage cheese, certain veggies, soda... just wondering if there were other *common* ones?

If you look under Cheat Sheet, Zuliekaa has put together a list of foods allowable for your 2 CM's. The book has a long list of foods you can eat and ones to avoid. All dairy products are a No No and only allowed at your RM. The same goes for any grain products. Basically you want to keep your 2 CM's very simple Just protein and almost any of your green veggies are allowed, except for Broccoli has been known to cause cravings. Take a look at the Cheat Sheet and if you still have any questions, just ask. I will try to answer any that I can.

Need to run. Have a hair appt.

In addition to the food list in general, beware of additives. For instance MSG and 'free glutamates' in general can be major triggers in the carb addict even if the food they are in is a CM-acceptable food.

Glutamates can be hidden in many ways. For instance tuna is an acceptable CM food, but if the tuna ingredients include 'broth' (instead of just 'water') there is a good chance that the manufacturers have slipped in some hidden glutamates and they can trigger cravings in sensitive individuals. The same goes for smoke flavoring. Gouda is an acceptable CM food, but my smoked gouda gives me cravings if I eat it outide RM.
