I kind of shoot from the hip on chilli. Black soy beans in a can are extreamly low carb. You can use ground meats, or cubed chicken depending. I made one that was chicken, cream and chilli spices. Not a real chilli but good.

I've also made a chilli with ground turkey and black soy beans. Just make sure to go lite on the tomato sauce if you use it in your chilli. I have chugwater chili spice mix, which is probably not available in your area. Just do an online search for chili recipes to get ideas of different spice combinations to add to the chilli.

Basicaly you brown your meat with onion and garlic then either throw it in a slow cooker with alot of water and spices, or in a large pot with water and spices then let it cook

I make a all meat chili.
2 or more lbs ground beef
1/2 cup onion
3 tablespoons chili powder (more or less to your taste)
14.5 oz canned tomatos diced with liquid
4 tablespoons tom paste
3.5 cups broth
I saute the onions in olive oil.than I add beef and brown it. Add the chili powder, salt and pepper to taste. cook 2 or 3 min then add the tomatos and paste and stir well. I then add chicken broth to make it soupy(I use about 3.5 cups. I cook it at least 2 hours. If its 2 thick I add more stock.

You can use the black soy beans too. with 2 cans of black soybeans it has 7.1 grams per serving and makes 8 to 9 servings. I make this in the crock pot too

This isn't proper chili, but I love it.

Highly recommended.

Thumbs up

Chili sure sounds good for tonight! It's 45 degrees and raining in Mid Michigan this morning, praying it lets up for my son's HS football game tonight I keep copying Iann's recipes and ones I like off the Atkins site and putting them in plastic sleeves in a binder. I am getting a really nice LC cookbook this way!
