Default Fruits....

During Atkins, when are fruits allowed to be inducted into the diet? I'm just in day 10 of inductions and I'm dying for a piece of fruit.

Well, it's an individual thing.

You are probably craving fruit because of the sugar content, which is exactly why you probably should not eat it. Your inner carb addict is giving you a hard time and fruit - because of the flavour and sugar content - can be as addictive as the white powder.

Small amounts of berries and melon are allowed, but if you find yourself fixating on them or eating them more than a few times a week, it's best to lay off.

Whatever you choose, the carbs have to be included in your daily carb count.

Thank you for the information. I have a terrible cold and I think that is part of it. All day I've been missing sugar, and I truly believe that it has been aggravated by the cold. I stuck to my diet today and walked away from anything that might not benefit me. I think I will wait on the fruit until I get out of "Induction." Thanks again.
