Default Too many diets?

I'm wondering if my very sluggish weight loss on Atkins is the result of the many, many diets I've been on over the years. Last time I did Atkins, I could even cheat a little here and there and I still lost 19 lbs. This time, if I put one "off-limits" item in my mouth, I certainly don't lose and I sometimes see weight gain. How depressing!

Yes! You've pummeled your metabolism to death. Age is a factor too.

But, it's not something to get depressed about or beat yourself up over. If you know what's going on, you can learn to have a relationship with your body, feeding it properly and taking care of it. It's slow at first, but once the trust is established, your metabolism will heal. It's worth doing for yourself.

Stay low-carb and leave yo-yo dieting behind!

Default Gender plays a part in weight loss

Gender seems to play a part in weight loss, we men seem to have it easier. I don't know if it is because we do not attempt as many diets, or if it is genetic.

Hang in there! Trust me it's worth it. I feel 100% better with the weight gone.

Keep an eye on what you eat. I am an Atkins person, and have found THE BOOK to be a great help. Those carbs can sneak up on you.
