Hi, I also started my new way of eating on March 1, 2004 and was also recently diagnoses with type II diabetes. I also notice that we are at about the same starting point weight wise and have pretty close to the same goal weight.
I am doing what my diatician told me to do, keep grams of carbs to 45 per meal, 3 meals per day and one bedtime snack of 15 grams.........comes up to 150 grams a day, I'm trying to make better fat choices, more mono less saturated and trying to keep calories between 1200 and 2000
As of today I have lost 18 pounds
I plan to start exercising Monday, but to keep from failing I am starting at 15 minutes and will work up from there with my goal being an hour of cardio 7 days a week........weight training somewhere down the line
I also have high blood lipids and liver problems and suffer from depression
I live in North Eastern Michigan, am 41 years old, married for 18 1/2 years (been together 22 yrs) and two sons age 18 & 24
