body fat confusion
Hello! I have been doing this WOL for 11 weeks and has been satisfied with the 32 lbs lost so far Just recently after taking the bar exams I decided to go back to the gym. I had my body fat measurments taken since i have heard so much about it from the different posts here.
The gym instructor used a fat caliper to measure my fats in three points: near the chest, the stomach and my right thigh. The results were 5, 5 and 6 respectively. He converted my measurements and it came out I had 3.8% boday fat!
Is this at all possible??? I didn't take my measurements before I tried Atkins so I now I am just a little bit worried because the chart in the gym said I belong to the lean group. Other groups are healthy, overweight and something else. What does the 3.8 reading mean? I still think I'm too fat and yet the measurment says otherwise. How can 188 lbs at 5'11 be lean when most sites believe my normal weight should be anywhere between 160 and 175 lbs?
I am not sure if this is the proper forum but please help! I am not now so sure if i am living a healthy lifestyle with this WOL.
Thanks!
