Default Walking or Jogging???

I play soccer and to keep my wind up I usually try to keep up a nightly running routine....even if I go out for a "short" run - it feels great! However, the past say 4-5 days I've been out walking, and walking and walking trying to "make" a whoosh happen......a few weeks agao I gained 2lbs.....lost 1 again....and I've been at 158 now for about 2 weeks...nothings moved (yes the measuring tape has) but I would like to see the scale budge.

What should I do?

Run....or keep walking? What will cause a whoosh?

The weather is so nice out these days....if I'm walking I stay out longer in the fresh air.....a run is considerably shorter time outside, I come home, stretch and then collapse! yeesh!

PS
I have not "cheated"!

If you can run, then run. More intense exercise burns more calories. Don't believe the "low intensity burns more fat" myth. Read up on HIIT (high intensity interval training). Do a search, there's plenty of info on this site and elsewhere about it. Are you lifting weights? Strength training is the key to building more muscle mass which burns fat all the time.

If you can run do it!!! It burns more in less time. Dont get me wrong walking is awesome and I do it a lot. Keep doing what your doing and the weight will come off!
