Default My Little Victories

A while ago there was a thread about little victories, and I enjoyed it so much I thought we ought to revive the idea. My little mini-victories as of late are:

1. Resisting the yummy-smelling Parker House rolls at Thanksgiving.
2. Buying jeans in a size 12 (OK, they're stretch jeans and they're a little tight. But still).
3. Doing better at spreading my carbs throughout the day.
4. Allowing myself the guilty, slightly narcissistic pleasure of thinking "Geez, I'm hot!" when I look in the full-length mirror. Even if the rest of the world sees me as just average, it's unanimous among DH and I — I've never looked better!

What are your little victories?

this is going to sound wierd and maybe a little TMI but my biggest victory is-

not having my belly jiggle when having sex.

i was so self contouse(sp) about this and now the belly jiggle is gone!!!!!

another one is having to ware a belt to keep my jeans up! cant wait till i can fit in the next size down.

My BMI has dropped 5 points! I am beginning to get into my size 12s and my 14s are big. My belly also no longer jiggles so much during sex (I can COMPLETELY RELATE) I feel smaller in DH's arms. WOO HOO! Just 4 more pds to less than I have weighed in over ten years. THAT will be one to celebrate...

Here are my little victories!

1. Going to put on a new pair of jeans (I bought a month ago) and finding them a little too big!!! Wow!

2. I just spent 45 minutes at the mall food court with my boys, they ate a soft pretzel while I nibbled on some sunflower seeds I had brought. The temptation to cheat really wasn't there! Not to say I didn't WANT a pretzel, but I just knew I wasn't and that was that!

Great idea for a thread!

The jiggling thing is cracking me up, you guys! Ha! I can relate too, but the negative is that now my boobs jiggle MORE as they're getting smaller but not perkier. That's another little victory too — my sex drive has increased since I'm looking better and feeling more confident. How's THAT for TMI?

Ummm small victories??

Being able to cheat on Thanksgiving and start over again the next day.. no week long craziness... I had the motivation to just pick up and go again... I count that a great victory

Going to this cute little boutique to by new/used jeans... and finding out that i fit into several pairs of 5's... alittle snuggly i might add.. but they are my new goal jeans

Having my BF getting closer and closer to jumping on this wagon w/ me... he is becoming conscience of what he is eating.. if not LC.. closer to LC... This is huge for me

Rachelle, I hope your BF comes around in time! I was so happy when my husband did. Congrats on fitting into the size-5s!

Since this thread has already turned a little dirty, I will throw in my 2 cents. I love that my wife and I have lost enough weight to no longer make that horrible fat slapping sound during sex. That was a major mood killer and I used to suck my gut in as far as I could to try and stop it. Sex life has definatly improves since both of us feel much better about ourselves.

I bought a pair of very tight jeans about two months ago that came with this huge crazy belt. I just liked that I could zip them up and they were cut well. I wore the belt only once (why add bulk to my waist under sweaters?) but managed to break the eyelet that I used. Now the jeans are sagging a bit and when I got the belt out and put it on I realized the broken eyelet is now two notches away!

Little victories!!
1. Being under 150lbs for the first time in almost 7 years. I hated going to the gym or doctor's and sliding the big weight over to 150lbs, then the little weight up more than that. For one full year I was at exactly 150lbs. It feels great only having to move the "big" weight to 100lbs (even if the little one goes all the way over)

2. My family being so supportive and glad I am eating the way I am. (I think they are the most happy about the no more mountain dew, haha)

3. Knowing I am in control of it all now (well atleast my eating)

No hope for it! My tummy is going jiggle for a long long time! I guess if I get thin enough, the flabby skin can settle into the hollow between my ribcage and pelvis and just ripple a bit. But that's my best case senario! Nope, gunna have to insist on being on the bottom. Sweaty fat slapping sounds! Ah I remember them well! LOL

Little victories?

Feeling good enough about myself to go on a man hunt with my girl friends from work-and not automatically think I'm going to have to sit out the dances.

Buying clothes in a regular/trendy store and not be the biggest size!

Shrinking so far out of last season's skinny pants that your co-workers start referring to you as "here comes the clown."

People coming up to me and asking ME how I've lost weight.

My kids being about to reach all the way around me for a hug.

Little losses: My 11 yo son wears my new sweats.
