Unhappy Not Hungry?

I just haven't been feeling very hungry anymore, to the point where I don't even want to eat. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem?
Is it normal?

I mean I basically have to force feed myself. (I don't know if I particularly like not feeling hungry all day)

Thanks Sharon

Welcome to the wonderul world of low carbing

Yes it is normal for you to experience no hunger pains. Isn't it great for a change? To finally be free of the dreaded "satan tummy" as I refer to it when you stomach growls or twists around.

Make sure you eat at least 3 meals a day. Sometimes it is easier to eat 6 small ones instead. Even though you are not experiencing hunger pains, you still need to feed the body to make sure it doesn't go into starvation mode and freezes up the fat burning and water shedding.

Post Absolutely normal...

Sounds like things are going well for you.

Not wanting to eat means your also not craving the things that put on your extra weight to begin with.

About a month inot this WOE, I felt the same way. But I overcame it by exploring new recipes and learning more about LC cooking and such.

Still there are days when I don't feel much like eating. But for the most part, it's because I'm happy, healthy and busy doing the things I had started avoiding when I was super-fat (my description of myself, no one else).

Even if you don't want it, sit down and eat. Think of it as fuel.

Donald

Default Been there too!

I have been experiencing the same thing. I started keeping track of my calories along with the fat, protein, and carbs using fitday.com because my husband said I was eating like a bird, which I was. I posted a question and was told to increase those calories by adding more fat. That worked to get the calories up, but I was still faced with the lack of appetite. I started walking more and finally I started get back some of my appetite. I plan all my meals ahead of time and try to get the numbers close to what they should be. If I can't eat everything for a meal then save it for an in between meal snack. A lot of people try to eat 5 or 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones. I try never to skip any meal because I end up with headaches, so even if I'm not very hungry I do make a point of eating at least half of what I prepare. Funny thing is I can go all day without actually feeling hungry until close to bedtime and then I get the munchies.
