My husband and I go to the movies a lot. So for me it is movie snack bars. All that buttery popcorn and candy bars is REALLY tempting. I have decided to sneak in a low carb snack and then just get a diet soft drink or water to counter my snack bar cravings.

None of those.

What tempts me to cheat the most is to see a new menu item, or a new item in the store that I just go nuts with curiosity on how it tastes. If it's a free sample it's all the harder.

That used to be a BIG temptation for me too--esp. on the grocery aisle where all the bake mixes were--but I just skip that aisle altogether now.

Being home alone. With CAD I can plan around almost all of the other temptations (movies and new restaurants used to be my downfall) but being home alone and bored is the worst.

I voted for the restaurant. But what really tempts me is being at a friend or family members house & everyone is eating high carb foods. I really need to start packing so low carb items in my purse.

Being home alone. When the kids are sleeping and my husband is at work, I just sit looking for something to do and the first thing I go to is the pantry for a snack. Being alone is not good for me.

Yeah, add me to the "home and BORED" crowd. That's when I get the worst cravings.

i selected a nice restaurant - and this has been my downfall. i lost heaps of weight at the start of this year following atkins. i was doing really well and feeling great. until i was sent to a different city to work on a new project. i went a bit crazy with all the unfamiliar and exciting foods there. i pretty much just destroyed all of the good work i had done and put almost all of the weight i had lost back on!

now that i am back home i am in control again and slowly losing.

i certainly learned my lesson!

One place I forgot was FAMILY GATHERINGS such as holidays like this weekend--the 4th of July or Christmas. I should have included that in my poll because I think that is really tempting.

Thank goodness.

No cheating for this girl. It's do it or die at this point. If I don't succeed I will prolly go under the knife for gastric bypass. I already have diabetes and high blood pressure + a few other health problems.

You have to ask yourself if you want to stay unhealthy or fat for the rest of your life. Is cheating really worth that? I also ask myself if I want to leave my daughter without a mother because I couldn't stay away from junk food.

Do what you did and stay where you are. Do it right and achieve more than you ever dreamed possible.

Melissa

ps - I can only pray that I will have this same level of belief when I no longer have these threats hanging over my head.

I am tempted the most anywhere I am that has cake with any type of chocolate in or on it. I try to pack LC sweets when I go to family functions which helps bunches. If it's a potluck I always take lots of LC foods so everyone has a nice variety.

I'll go along with the family outing times, all those "memorable comfort foods" that got us here to begin with. LOL. I for one, have to stay busy busy busy, or I'll snack snack snack...

Add me in to the home alone and bored group. I can make good choices the rest of the time, but I find myself walking between the fridge and the cupboard if I'm bored.

I wish you'd put in a "none of the above." I don't like not being able to vote. ;-)
