Cool New to diet - any tips?

Started the Atkins diet almost 2 weeks ago. I'm sick of carbs slowing me down - so far I've been feeling pretty good. I've lost almost 5 lbs but I'm not sure that's enough. How much weight should I expect to lose and how long do I stay on induction?

Hi there Nomore, welcome!

You are actually doing very well indeed.
Because you don't have a large amount to lose, it may seem as though your weight loss is a little slow. However we find here that most folk can expect to lose 10% of the weight they wish to shed on Induction, followed by 5 to 10% a month after that. So according to those guidelines, you are well ahead!

As for tips, you'll find plenty in "Low Carb Tips" on the orange bar at the top of the screen.

Happy low carbing!

Rosebud

Thanks for the encouragement ... but....
I'm not seeing the results that I would like to see. I'm wondering if maybe it's because I do not have that much to lose - so it will come off slower. I've read the book - and I've read almost the entire atkinscenter.com site. Some of the Atkins products (shakes and bars) - they say are safe to use during Induction. But then I've read online where someone says no shakes, etc. Which is true? All of the recipes are great but b/t work and the gym, how do you find time to whip up all of these meals? I almost feel like my clothes are tight today. I'm getting sort of frustrated. Help.
