If you have a significant amount of weight to lose, and you are happy eating at induction levels, then you may stay on induction for as long as you like.

If you complete induction and get a hankering for some more veggies, or a few nuts or a bit of berries, then you can add in 5 more carbs a day each week thereafter until you stop losing. Go back 5 grams and that is your Critical Carb Level for Losing.

According to the Atkin's book, you can stay on the Induction phase for 6 months or more provided that you are not bored with the food limitations (no fruit, nuts, etc.) and you are not stressed out. If there is a chance that you might slip up, you probably should move on to OWL.
I have been doing it for 10 weeks now and continue to lose between 2 and 3 pounds a week. I am not bored with the food but am worrying about what to do if I stall. Induction is the lowest level of Carbs so there is no room to cut back if you stall. People who have a lot to lose should probably continue induction much longer than 2 weeks. Some people in the "Triple Digits Club" of this forum have stayed on Induction for a year or longer.
It's up to you.
As you said - "Remember to take your Vitamins".
Simon.
