Can't log in with Opera

I'd prefer to use Opera 6.05 to read and post, but when I try to login, I get the error message "Connection closed by remote server," after which Opera simply hangs. I'm accepting cookies and I have Javascript enabled. The problem happens regardless of whether it identifies as Opera or as IE. Can anyone help?

This has been confirmed as an Opera browser bug. I have Opera 7.23, and while it gives a somewhat similar error "connection closed by remote server", and will then complete the login successfully.

Got a new Opera and as you said, it gives me the error but goes on and logs in successfully anyway.
