Default What have I done? Oh my God..

I have just gone for lunch and have obviously eaten carbs...

It was a lamb and veg caserole - it was served with rice which I avoided! but even though I asked if there was flour in the sauce - they said it was made with stock and if there was flour, there would be very little...so I thought - cannot be anymore than 20g so I had it....

It tasted nice and all that. BUT I feel absolutely dreadful. HAve a pain in my tummy and actually feel like vomiting. Pains are cramp like...really bad and my body is kind of shaky. Apologies for being graphic but I have had a bad loo experience aswell and have developed a terrible headache. What is this? What have I done?

I was feeling great until now on induction for nearly 3 weeks and have lost 6 lbs. Am sipping water to try to avoid vomiting now...Has anyone an idea of what this is?

The food was lamb, mushroom, courgette and the sauce - I know not strictly induction but this cannot be normal....is this normal?

Hi Paddles - I can't see anything wrong with what you had - the courgette sauce is made with cream or milk (if milk, its very minimal to cause carb increase). Maybe a slight lactose intollerance - again seems slight in the dairy, but ... May be just one of those tummy things, have a cup of camomile tea if you have, or just weak tea to sooth your tummy.

Hope you feel better.

Could be a touch of food poisoning?? I don't think it's a reaction from eating carbs....

Let us know how you're doing, ok?

Oh, I'm sorry you feel awful. Cornstarch in it somewhere? Sugar? Dairy is also a reasonable guess. Hmm.

I think water would be a good option and try not to think about it too much. I find if I think I've eaten carbs (I know I ate something with hidden breadcrumbs in it during induction) I freak out just THINKing about it.

Hope you feel better.

I've had food poisoning twice and what you described sounds a lot like that to me. If that's the case, you should probably go see your doctor.

Ooohhh...sounds like that dish didn't agree with you, that's all.

Even if it were 100 carbs in there...a few days later you'd be able to adjust and move it on. So there's just the issue of you getting better...which I hope is soon!

Default Feeling a bit better now!

Am feeling a little bit better now.
Still feel a bit odd - but not as bad.
Not quite sure what happened me there......

Left the office and got some fresh air and drank some water. I am not 100% but better...

Thanks for your good wished - it was nice to come back to them just now...

Feel a bit bloated though
