Question Where does this feeling come from?

Hi everybody

I have a question I hope ya'll can help me with. You know the energetic uplifting feeling we get from this woe, is it an effect of ketosis or the lack of sugar and bad cards? Or is it from increased amounts of good fat?

I'm asking because I am about to up my carbs and I'm afraid of losing this euphoric feeling. I don't want to be a mean irratible grump again.....Thanks everybody, Ang

I would love an answer to that, too. I loved that euphoric feeling and lost it when I went out of Ketosis after about 2 months on the plan. I went back into ketosis a week later, but no euphoric feeling this time. I still feel good, but miss that "high". Would love to get it back!

The "high" is really the "low" - the low blood sugar. Before your body adjusts to the existance of less blood sugar in your system, it continues to store it with a vengence as fat -- sometimes leaving you with less blood sugar than is required to function "normally".

Some people describe that "high" as a dizzyness, some find it to be a disassociation of sorts, and some find it gives them more energy, and some just describe it as a "high". I had some days where it actually scared me.

Once your body adjusts, it never comes back. At least it didn't with me, and I've been lowcarbing for over 3 years.

The increased energy, however, does stay with you - it's 2 different things, really.

I don't think I phrased my question properly, but I think I catch the drift. I just don't want to be a grump again. But I assume as long as I keep the blood sugar low that won't happen. I know the dizzy feeling your talking about. I only had it once for a few minutes in a book store. Kinda funky!!Thanks for responding...Ang
