Smile Good Lunch?

Hi!

I am having tuna w/ mayo and hard boiled eggs, and whole wheat saltine crackers for lunch. Did I make a good choice?

try pork rinds instead of crackers - that way you still get the crunch

The mayo should be fine as long as its not swimming in it.

No grains at all are allowed in Phase 1 of South Beach so the crackers would be out completely. If you're in Phase 2, then you need to look at the flour used and make sure it is no enriched or fortified, just whole grain flour. Also check to make sure there are no trans fats (hydrogenated oils) or added sugar and you also want to make sure it has a good amount of fiber per serving.

Here's a great site with tons of info for South Beach, including food lists for what is allowed or not:
