Default Help me get back on track!!!

I had a very stressful week this week and kind of blew it 3 nights in a row
2 nights in a row I was craving fajitas from a Mexican restaurant so I had those with some sour cream/salsa/and guac.
But I also had a few chips before serving our meal-oh yea and about 3 TBLS of beans

That was not so bad but then I got a nasty craving for Chinese fgood-The biggest evil of all on Atkins.
I blew it and am so afraid that I will not be able to get back on Atkins and do it good like I was before this last week.

Did I hurt my chances of anymore weight loss or should I just stay on Induction(planning on it until I lose alot more weight) and continue ??

Any input will help JUST DON'T YELL AT ME!!!! LOL!!

i would suggest returning to induction level carbs for a few days to get back into ketosis. then you can start upping your carbs by 5 grams a week if you want. i personally have stayed very close to induction levels 20-25 grams per day since i started in january. but there are times when i have done more carbs - good ones that is and i have also cheated a few times but if i do i just go back to induction levels and keep going. remember this is forever and you will inevitably have those days where you cheat a little. dont sweat it. just keep going on the next day.

Thanks Jedswife

I want to stay at the 20 carb range for awhile but I think I like the idea of going up 5 carbs even once in a while so I can get a little variety.
Do you think after 5 wks on Atkins it would be ok to add strawberries once in a while or do you think it would make me stall.?
I think I might give it a try and if I see it does slow me down then I will not eat them for awhile.
I also would love to add some type of low carb bread or muffin once in a while just for variety.
I love this WOL but I am noticing I am getting bored really fast with my choices.
Thanks for your advice

PS-I notices I am starving after eating all this high carb food-I have not felt that way in 5 wks-YUCK!!!

if you really want some strawberries i'd give it a shot just keep an eye on it and add it in as part of your carbs for the day. there is only one way to see if it makes you stall, just try it and watch how it affects you.

i eat atkins low carb bread only 3 net carbs per slice with cream cheese and a teaspoon of light sugar free jam only 5 carbs per serving. also eat la tortilla factory low carb tortillas.

it is kinda my treat. i suggest you keep experimenting to see what carbs you can eat and still keep losing.

that is thing with this diet/woe you have to determine how your body reacts to different foods - but this allows you to tweak the diet and personalize it.

if something makes you stall - you can try eating less amounts or avoid it if you want. if you must have sweets there are a lot of low carbs sweets that are pretty darn good. my husband who is so skinny even ate an atkins endulge candy bar and liked it - i didnt tell him it didnt have sugar till he was done and if i hadnt he would not have known.

so keep trying new stuff.
