Question Nutritional ratio

I've been entering my daily menu into Fitday.com yesterday and today, and I'm eating about 70% fat! Is that normal? I'm freaking out because it seems like a lot of fat to be eating. Also, I'm eating about 1300 calories a day. I read that you have to eat 10 to 12 times your weight which would put my required daily intake to about 1780. What can I do to bring my caloric intake up without upping my carb intake? Thank you for your help!

70% fat is normal. To add calories, add some mayo or olive oil to your meals. You DO need to get you caloric intake up. I have learned that over the last month of doing this.

Hope this helps!

Yes 65-70% is normal BUT what are you eating to have such high fat and low calories??

Please start a journal and put in your menus to get an idea of what we can do to help.

Also, you didn't mention. Are you in induction? Are you losing weight?

More information for a question like this to help you.

Thanks...

Smile Caloric intake

Thank you for your replies.
Well lets see, I'm not much of a cook and not very inventive, so I've been eating the same thing over and over for the past 2 days.

I had a bag of just the cheese cheddar chips (300 calories and 2 grams carb) for breakfast and 4oz ground beef and 1 cup of broccoli cooked with 1 tbsp of olive oil and morton lite salt for lunch and dinner. It's adding up to about 1300 calories with 20 grams of carbs according to Fitday.

I started Atkins yesterday at 181, this morning I weighed 178.

Cheddar cheese chips???

During induction you are only allowed 3-4 oz of cheese a day.

You may want to eat more real foods for healthy calories.

Thumbs up

Hi again

Yes, Just the cheese cheddar cheese chips are 100% wisconsin natural cheese, and the bag is 4 oz. which is the daily cheese limit. All they are are baked cheese (milk, salt, enzymes). I think I'll make a bunch of chicken wings and keep it in the freezer. I hope that will increase my calories a bit. Thanks for your reply
