Default Muscle fatigue/cramps

I've noticed in the last few days that I'm experiencing some muscle fatigue and cramps. It's not severe, but I from what I've read here, it sounds like I need a magnesium/potassium supplement.

My question, I currently take Atkins Basic #3, Omega Oils, Calcium and L-carnitine. Would it be just too much to add another supplement (magnesium/potassium)?

I don't want to go overboard, but I don't want to deprive my newly-feeling-alive-again body of necessary nutrients either.

Cramps are usually caused by insufficient magnesium, whilke muscle fatigue and a general feeling of weakness can be caused by lack of potassium.

Magnesium is best absorbed when combined with calcium, in a 2cal:1mag formulation. You should be taking 1000:500mg daily, in divided doses.

Potassium can be replaced either as a potassium salt such as No Salt or as tablets. You should be taking 400mg daily, again in divided doses. Actually potassium should be taken with food, otherwise it can irritate the stomach. And if you take drugs for fluid or high blood pressure, check first with your pharmacist before taking potassium supps.

Cheers.

Default Something to add also

I have also experienced leg cramps with the diet and so I looked into it and found out the not enough water also can cause leg cramps so be sure you are getting enough water daily. Just another suggestion......
