Default Alcohol and Induction

Its my friend's birthday this week end and we are going out to dinner. Can I have a diet coke and rum while still on Induction?

You are not supposed to have any alcohol during induction. It is supposed to slow or stall weight loss. Your body will burn the alcohol before it burns fat but I drink it anyway. My friend was on atkins and drank the entire time and still lost weight.

Induction is meant to be a "detox" - alcohol isn't allowed - why not do a clean induction - you'll be happy you did in the long run. Things come up all the time along the way, save your treats for down the road - IMO anyway.

alcohol is not on the list of food for induction so it would be up to you to make that choice or not. it may take you out of ketosis and possibly stall your weight loss.

good luck however you decide.
