Question Off the Atkins diet...I think..

Hey there everyone,

Well, its been about 1 week so far. I becided I lost all the weight I needed to and I'm done for now. I still wasnt sure how to break in high carb foods. So far I've eaten well over 20grams per day and I had chow mein twice in a week. What else can I do? Im thinking of sneaking in a sandwhich or something like that next week. Any better tips?

Bob,

As I explained last week, in the Atkin's book it explains the exact detail of what you need to do to maintain your new found weight. So you may want to try rereading the book to find the proper way to go into maintainence. By adding carbs back to your diet a little at a time to find out when you start gaining and then cut back from there.

I suggested that you start at around 60 carbs a day and stay there for a week or so and then add 5 carbs to that per day and wait a week. If you do gain, then note how many carbs a day you are consuming and cut back to a number that you do not gain or lose and stay there. Some men can handle as much as 120 grams of carbs a day without gaining or losing weight.
