Hi, Kelly. Four pounds -- you're off to a great start!

Depression is so complicated -- are you feeling down, not much energy? Some people do experience a temporary loss of energy while your body is changing over from burning carbs to burning protein.

If you've suffered from clinical depression before -- that's something quite different.

Default Hi Alto

I've never really suffered, seriously, from clinical depression. Just a low period here and there. I think that's where I'm at. Mentally I'm feeling clearer....thinking the lack of carbs helps us think better.
Hugs, nites. Kelly

Hi Kelly,

You're okay! It's just such a huge change for your body so why wouldn't it be that our emotions/psyche wouldn't follow suit? Weird huh? You'll get out of the slump and will be feeling better soon. I remember my first week , a year ago, I felt a whole lot out of sorts. I didn't take long for me to get back to myself.

Hang in there.
