Default Body-type Diets???

Has anyone heard of these diets that you eat for your body-type?
I was reading an article in Women's World magazine aboutThurmond's Body Makeover (you know the guy from Extreme Makeover).
I did a search on the net and found a few sites about different body-type diets (most low to lower carb diets).
I think I am a Thyroid Type, but I am not for sure. Has anyone tried or heard about this?

Hi, I have read the above book, and an older one by a Dr. Abravanel (sp?) where he mentions types like thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, gonadal.....I could never figure out which I was....
but the diet sounded like it made sense. I have another one
by Dr. Sandra Cabot. She called the pituitary type a lymphatic
instead, but the other types were the same. I recall the thyroid
type is generally one with a slim build when not overweight. Long boned, nervous type. Does that sound like you?

Thurmond is low-fat, controlled calories. I think the "exercise less - eat more" thing is garbage. Plus I hate egg whites and also am uncomfortable with throwing away perfectly good protein in the yolk. It is a very restrictive diet. However, I do believe that insulin resistance shows up as fat around your middle section. So to that extent, body type does give an indication of perhaps what your hormone imbalances might be. But Thurmon sure has NO clue what that might be, or how to deal with it.

Hi again, I found a link to Dr. Cabot's Body type diet.
http://www.liverdoctor.com/Section3....asp?print=true Take a look at the figures drawn there. I think
android is the warrior of diet man's body code. Gynacoid is
the nuturer, thyroid is the communicator, and visionary is sort
of like the lymphatic.....

Anyone familiar with Dr. Abravanel's plan?
