Default Protein Power Pals Wednesday, Dec. 10:)

Good morning! Just wanted to check in and say hello to everyone. Yes, it seems like those rude restaurant people were exactly what we needed to talk about our relationship and take it to the next level. If I thought things were good before, I had no idea. I'm at a point right now where I am practically scared out of my mind b/c I am so happy and I fear that I will wake up one day and it will all be taken away.

Good news on the weightloss front. I am now down to 147.5!!

Tonight I am again going to see Barenaked Ladies. Thanks for the advice on gifts. I went to their website and bought him two of the books I found there (one was their history and stories, the other is the lyrics and chords/arrangements in their songs which I thought he'd like since he is a music teacher). So I am prepared for exchanging gifts, just in case he has one for me. I ended up paying 20 dollars for shipping just to ensure that it will be here before Xmas. Well, I gotta go get ready for work. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Hi Wendy, I am so glad you are having such a great time in your life !!!! Have a great time at the concert

Lissette, I LOVE your cow avatar!!!

Orang, Microsoft should pay you to test the next version of Photoshop. You should be considered a master user

Didn't bother weighing this AM since my rings are tight so I know I have water on me from the Celebrex and to add insult to injury, I still hurt!!
There's a new lowcarb store opening near work this weekend. I emailed the owner to find out if he would carry Davinci syrups and would he be competitive to the interent and he said yes. Plus there's a 5 % discount for his grand opening so I may pay a visit on my lunch hour Friday. He said he had a lot of people from my company come in to see when he'd be open so that's a good sign.

Bawdy, you're welcome for the Bowflex links. Hope that's what you're looking for.

Hi everyone,
I was suffering from withdrawal here as something went nutty on our computer and we couldn't use the Internet at all. My e-mail was working, but that's all. Finally called tech support and they suggested rebooting the computer, which worked. After she suggested the rebooting, I remembered once before this happened and that fixed it. So I'm very glad to be online again.
Renee, I'm so glad you got out of the jury business for now at least. I'm still horrified that they would expect you to serve when you so recently had surgery.
Wendy, we're all so happy for you both about the weight and the new relationship.
The weather has been such that Pete and I have been able to walk outside every single day since a week ago Sun. Now we do have to bundle up and motor right along, but I feel so fortunate to be able to walk outside this late in the year.
Pete's weightloss hasn't been nearly as spectacular as I had anticipated. He's been low carbing 3 weeks and has now lost 4 lb. And he's not cheating. He did have to go off plan once at a wedding dinner, but that's it. I was able to get him a free month's membership at the male counterpart of Curves. He hasn't started that yet but plans on phoning when The Blitz reopens after 3 p.m. today. He won't be able to use the entire month since he leaves for Mexico Jan. 1, so wants to get started ASAP. Still no work for him so it will give him something different to do as well as be good physically.
Other son (one married in Oct.) is also low carbing (Atkins). He and his wife both did induction, but she lost 18 lb. and felt very unwell so did not carry on. Steve (son) had lost 8 lb. the last I heard. So neither of the guys are losing really quickly. And Steve has a lot to lose. He's 6'1" and he said on Sun. that he is now 245 lb. Wants to get to 195.
When we go to Mexico, of the 6 of us, only 2 will be eating a "normal" diet. 3 low carbing and one on Specific Carbohydrate Diet. I did find out that my son and daughter-in-law have a complete kitchen in their room minus an oven so that should make it easier to stay on plan. I was quite concerned about our daughter who is on the SCD and gets fairly sick with Crohns if she deviates very far from it. And that's no fun when you're supposed to be on vacation!
Have a great day everyone!
Marjorie

The judge instructed us not to say anything until the story came out in the newspaper - this the heart-wrenching murder trial I had to begin sitting in on

I still couldn't sleep last night - what a tragedy,

{{{ Rob }}} take care of yourself. Those food amounts are really low for you.

re; your observations re: Micro$oft. Adobe does make a much better product - MS's equivilent to PhotoShop is awful.

Marnie
Sorry to hear about the computer problem - glad you and your son are doing well. The Mexico trip sounds like it will be a great family time. Glad you will have kitchen facilities.

Where or where is our Bawdy???

Elaine:
Hope the water leaves soon.

Wendy:
Congrats re: weight loss.
