Default Ack! I'm at 30 carbs for the day and I thought I was doing good!

If you take a look at my fitday record, most of my carbs have come from veggies...but still...30 ...and I usually like to have some sort of snack before bed. Guess that's out tonight! I need to find some lower carb veggies that I can stand.

I have seen the fitday stats and the label of the frozen strawberries, but I have a hard time grasping that 5 normal sized unsweetened berries have 19 grams of carbs. I would say aroun 10 or 12 maybe. I also recommend that you look at this rationally. If you need a snack tonight, have one. One day over 30 won't do it. You are close to goal so you may see the extra carbs don't hurt your weight loss/maintenence.

That's 19 calories on those strawberries...5 carbs. Actually, I think I fixed my problem. I entered what I intended to eat for dinner in before I actually ate. I had never had spaghetti squash before and I was figuring I'd need to put a little sauce on it. I tried it with just butter and a little salt and pepper and it was great just like that so I skipped the spaghetti sauce. That saved me 8 carbs right there. I'm back down to a respectable amount fot the day. I had no idea spaghetti squash was so good!

Hi Tricia:

If you like your spaghetti squash, try this recipe. It's awesome.

Post HI

I noticed also that you didn't subtract your fiber from your cauliflower and your strawberries.. when you do, you'll see that you are doing quite well.
For fitday I customize any veggie/fruit that has fiber and subtract it from the carbs and make my fiber 0. So you don't know how much fiber you are eating but you get the correct net carb count.
I believe there is actually a fiber count that you can subtract to get the net number as well.
