Exclamation HELP! I'm around food all day!

Help. I'm a stay at home Mom that is surrounded by food about 14 hours a day. Between my 3 kids(all under 5) and my husband that gets home late, I'm surrounded by food about 14 hours a day. It's not junk food--but it's FOOD.

Even if I'm successful in not "sampling", I feel deprived at the end of the day from so much self control.

Any advice?

Find something (Legal food) that you can treat yourself with if you are good... for me a good cup of hot tea tops off the day and I can sit back and be proud that I resisted everything that I'm not suppose to eat. I work for a company that stocks the kitchen with Hershey bars, licorice, fresh fruit, prezels, granola bars, oatmeal, and tons of sugar and stuff so every day when I walk into work I have to resist and when I fill up my water bottle etc. I finally cames to terms with the fact that I am the only one who controls what goes in my mouth and I'm proud at the end of the day when I can say I walked away. Try drinking a lot of water too. I can drink so much water that I'm so full that if I even look at ANY food I will feel sick! LOL Above all believe in yourself and know that you are deprived and you are doing an awesome job!!!!

I've been there and it's hard. The one thing that worked for me when my kids were that age was getting out of the house. Since the weather is getting nicer, can you take them to a playground or a park for part of the day? Also, inviting over another mother with young kids helps. You can't pit out with someone watching you.

My lofe situation is a lot like yours. Don't let yourself feel deprived- that is one of the roots of emotional eatting- When your kids are going to eat, rememeber that they are growing up and that you will grow 'out' if you eat with them!! Think of how proud your kids are of their Mom- That's always an inspiration for me. Just don't eat all day long with them.
