Default Oriental type meals

Thank all of you for responding to my introduction with such positive remarks. It may be that results will be slower in arriving because of my age.
This is not an end run however I have not found much on cooking Oriental ( Chineese ) foods. Being a novice I may have underestimated the carb count in these meals. I exclude the rice and other stach items and concentrate on veggies and meats. I awaite your answers. Jegsr.

Cooking - stir frys and all are fine because you can add your own ingredients. Just use the induction allowed veggies and lots of protein.

If going to a Chinese restaurant beware of many carbs in the sauces. Best to get steamed foods and then put on your own hot chili oil and/or soy sauce. Or I like to get the egg foo youngs w/ the same chili oil and soy sauce.

The other asian type restaurants me and DH love there are some options but it is very difficult: Japanese (sashimi and miso soup), Thai (almost impossible to lc), Vietnamese (appetizers include meatballs - mostly meat and meat wrapped in grapeleaves and barbaqued shrimp).

Default For eating out...

We went to a japanese steak house the other night, and it was wonderful.

I had a bowl of broth with mushrooms and scallions, salad w. horseradish dressing, then the entree....filet, scallops, shrimp, and chicken cooked on the grill with butter and soy sauce. Add to that a double serving of veggies...mushrooms, zucchini, and onions. I got double veggies in place of the rice and boy, was I stuffed!

There are options...I haven't been to a place yet where I couldn't find an option on the menu! Even Fazoli's! (Side of meatballs (6 carbs) and a side salad)

Amy
