Default Diabetics and Nutritional Supplements

My husband is a diabetic and is doing Atkins with me. I'm curious as to how many other diabetics are doing Atkins and what they are taking in nutritional supplements and if this is working for them. His blood sugar numbers have come way down....but no weight loss yet (he's been doing this for 3 weeks). Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated! ( I am aware of what Dr. Atkins suggests in his latest book......but just wondering what type of doses anyone here on the forum is taking).

I'm a diabetic doing Atkins. I take Glucophage XR and two other daily meds. (When I began, I took 12 meds.) My daily control is decent and slowly improving. I try to follow the Atkins guidelines for supplements for diabetics and heart patients, so my daily vitamin supplements are extensive.

I am diabetic (type 2) and am just now beginning the Atkins diet. I think diabetics are slow to lose weight as it is. I havent EVEN looked into the supplements just yet.

Diabetic following low carb for 2 years here (not Atkins, but a similar plan). The only supplements I currently take are a stress formula multivitamin.
Does low carb help? Goodness, yes! Went from an A1C of 11.8 to one of 5.6 is less than 4 months! Weight loss has been slow (75 lbs. in nearly 2 years), but the blood sugar control was my first priority so I'm not worried about how long it will take to get the weight off.
