Unhappy Commercial Cheesecake # of Carbs? help!

Hi, I've been doing really well..and just got off induction, after losing 7 lbs in 15 days...started owl.....and had a piece of cheesecake tonight which i thought was acceptable...but it was at a restaurant and commercially made. I didn't eat the crust at all...does anyone know approx the number of carbs in one piece or if I really blew it? Thanks!

The cheesecake most likely had sugar in it, so if you're still checking for ketones, it probably will knock you out of ketosis for a while. I wouldn't dwell on it. Just put it behind you and keep on going. 7 pounds in 15 days is terrific. Congratulations on your loss!

Hi Karen,

Please don't think I'm condemning you - I really don't mean to, but why would you think that commercially baked cheesecake would be acceptable?

Unless you are specifically told that such goods are sugar free, you can bet they'll be very high in sugar.

According to Fitday, a one-twelfth slice of a 9" cheesecake has over 37 g carbs. Now yours will be a little less because you didn't eat the crust, but I think this is something to rack up as a learning experience.

As Amadeus says, just put it behind you and get right back on that wagon. You will probably gain a little weight for a few days, but it will be mostly water and it will leave you. Not weighing yourself for the next week will help, trust me!
