I haven't used it, but I'm sure there are recipes on this site that use it. Try clicking the 'search' icon and do a search for it - limit the search to the "kitchen" (recipes) area of the forum.

HTH...

Cool

I coat my chicken or pork cutlets with egg and soy flour and fry them up - - substitute for breaded cutlets. I also use soy flour when cooking as a thickener (gravies).

You can make pretty good pancakes with soy flour. Make as normal pancakes but use at least twice as many eggs as soy flour doesn't stick together too well. Also make the mixture a bit drier. A pinch of baking soda will make then lighter.

Good luck

Robert

wow I found something thanks to all the great people in here. Soy Flour!!!! Now I can have roast chicken w/gravy. Now are there any subs for spagetti, mashed potatoes??? Ive been on induction Atkins for 12 days now and dont feel much different. I think I lost about 6-8 LBS but am not totally sure, dont have a scale. Im going to buy one tomorrow. I know i wasnt getting enough water because its boring so I switched to sparkling 3 days ago and drink much more now. Now to use those gym memberships. I think Ill try to tough out induction for 1-2 more weeks ( is that ok?)
Any responses will be appreciated, thanks
Tommy

Don't get too exited about gravy with soy flour. It doesn't have quite the same thickening effect as normal flour I'm afraid.

As for mashed potatoes you could try boiling cauliflower until it is really soft and mashing it with some butter and pepper. It looks like mashed potatoes but still tastes like mashed cauliflower. I've made shephards pie with it and it was a hit.

You will find several recipes for spaggetti using soy flour if you do a search.

Good cooking,

Robert

P.S. You can make fries with turnip instead of potatoes too. I tried it. They look fine but are a little soft and taste a bit too sweet - but they are not bad.
