Default how many carbs in induction?

What range should I try to keep my carb count during induction? I seem to be a slow loser and the best I can figure I am staying around 25-30 carbs per day. I was wondering if I should cut out some of the dressing or cheese, or heavy cream in coffee....
I have this terrible feeling this diet too will not work for me and will only make me gain weight! It is easy to feel that way when I feel so full all the time. Should I cut back? Any information would be great.
Thanks
Jessica
also, when I submit a picture do I have to do it each time I post?

Hi,
I believe Atkins induction calls for 20 grams of carbs or less/day. If you feel like you are TOO full, then maybe you should cut back the nuts or something. You say you are a slow loser, but maybe you need to be. Losing too fast make me feel sick and weak. Have you read Atkins? This is the best way. If you try another plan, read the book first. I have read 4 so far, and use what I feel works for me from each one!
I know nothing about pictures. sorry.

Hi Jessica!

If you're unsure of how many carbs and which types of foods you should have on induction, you may want to go back and re-read the chapter on induction again. If you've misplaced your book, you can also get the information at Dr. Atkins' website: www.atkinscenter.com but here's a few things that you need to be aware of:

Carbs should be kept at no more than 20 grams per day during induction.
Cream is limited to no more than 2 fluid ounces (1/4 cup) per day on induction.
Cheese is limited to no more than 3-4 ounces a day on induction.
Artificial sweeteners are limited to 2-3 packets a day on induction.
Nuts are not allowed during the induction phase.

If you're having a hard time telling how many carbs are in which foods, you can register for free at www.fitday.com and put in what you ate for the day to see how you're doing. Many members find that it's a very useful tool to help them keep on track. HTH
