Smile I'm New!

Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd introduce myself and say Hi to everyone. I have been reading the boards for a while now but I have not started LCing yet. I will be starting in a couple of days, which I am anxiously awaiting! I have been cleaning out my kitchen and have gone shopping in preperation!

I have been on one diet or another most of my life and I am really hoping this will be what I need. I was actually not interested in the LCing way of life and had tried it briefly once before, with no success. But I am going to try it again. My brother-in-law has lost 20lbs by cutting out carbs and he has given me some new hope. This board has also given me some new hope, reading about all of our success stories. It is awsome to have something like this where everyone can go and get the support that they need. I am sure I will be using it often.

Hi Raine,
I've just joined the forum and have begun Atkins. After years of Weight Watchers and high carb low fat diet with little success I'm hoping this will work for me. I have eased myself into it over the last fews days as I didn't want huge difficulties with very low blood sugar. I've just been on 20 carbs today and feel I've broken through the sugar cravings and hunger. I'm feeling very nauseated though..don't know why.
Good luck and keep us informed of your progress.

Hello Yogibear and Raine,

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good people and great ideas.

The best advice that I can offer is to pick a plan and make it work. I have been LCing for 4 months and lost 32 lbs. You can do it too.

I want to also invite you to go visit the Triple Digits Club. It's for those of us with 100 plus pounds to lose, but everyone is welcome.

I wish you good luck in 2003!

BrewWa

Hi BrewWa
Thanks for your welcome and encouragement.
You are doing well in your weight loss.

I will visit the 3 digits club as I think it a is very different journey when you have a lot to lose. We are in Kgs in Australia and they don't sound so bad but when I converted my weight to lbs to join this forum I nearly died. Oh well got to get over it and get rid of it.
It's great to have such support from those who are having such sucess.
See you round

The obvious thing was the the SCALE WAS WRONG ha ha !

Default Hi Tarrawack

Hi Val,
Thanks for your welcome.

I had a good laugh about your comments. Good thing we can laugh about it otherwise we'd cry.

I still like Kg better. They sound so much 'nicer'
cheers
Yogibear
