Plan: Atkin's Diet (modified)
Stats: 327/295/220 Male 5'10"
BF:47%/41%/32%
Progress: 30%
Location: Iowa
Default Lets try this again-again-again

I was on the low carb kick a few months ago and for some reason I swayed back into my old ways full force. I intially lost around 40lbs but have since regained 15 back. Every week I keep saying I am going to restart " on Monday" but only last a day or so. It is quite depressing because when I first started I went for 6 weeks without cheating even once, but now I can't manage to stick it out for 48 hrs.

Are there any tips for me to get back in the swing, I am afraid I just won't last on this diet anymore. I am going to start up again starting tommarow, and maybe if I visit the board daily agin that will help.........

Thumbs up You can do it!!!

I know some people talk about certain supplements (L-Glutamine, I think) that help control cravings. Atkins talks about them somewhere, probably in his book or on the website, I don't recall.

I think the best way for you to get back into it is just jump in full force. Throw out food you can't eat and just start for a couple days. You know that once the physical cravings are over you'll feel better. Then you just have to deal with psychological ones. This can be hard, but with all these people (and the dream of a healthier, thinner self) you may as well try, right? And next time, if you slip, you'll do your best not to fall all the way in, because you'll remember how you feel right now wishing you hadn't gone back to your old ways.

I wish you luck. I appreciate the difficulty of this and hope you can regain control of those demon carbs!

I'm in the same boat. I lost 24 pounds and didn't cheat once. Felt great, had no cravings. The past few weeks I've gone a little nuts. And I'm now back into induction!

You can do it! I can do it!

This is the place to find support! And I'd love to help you! Post of PM me any time!
