Default Help needed please...

Im too sick to type out the whole thing of details but you if you can jump to my journal I just put in some info about this. I've got a stomach virus and need to know what to eat. I can't get to the store right now. Will I totally blow it if I eat some tomato soup? What are the rules when your're sick??

If you have a stomach virus, I don't suggest tomato soup.... too much citric acid!

Stay on clear liquids, jello, broth, maybe a little dry toast. Stay away from dairy products or anything high in fat, high-fiber foods, acidic foods, nuts and meat. Drink sports drinks, water and a little diet cola if you can.

When you are feeling better, add some low-fat proteins (like chicken and fish), and low-fiber fruits & vegetables, juices, vegetable soups, beef broth. Add back fats and dairy products last.

Take it easy.... I doubt you'll gain any weight with a stomach virus!! Your priority is to rest your intestinal system and don't worry about carbs.

Default Thanks!

Thank you TeriDoodle,

That is what I needed to hear. I was just on the fence about keeping to the LC thing. I hated to ruin it since I was doing so well this time. I'm feeling so focused and hate to blow it.

Today I'm feeling so much better. WHEW! All the people I know that have gotten this (on our big "bug chain") have gotten a "second wave" a day and a half after feeling better. I hope I don't but with this info I'm feeling armed.

Thanks again!
Carianne
