Default Why I dont use a scale for my diet

The last two times that I hit a plateu on the atkins diet, I found myself weighing myself 6 times a day (anyone else ever done that before??? Especially on a digital weight? Hmm Hmm....be honest lol).

So this time, I sold my wife and I's digital medical scale to our in-laws and we're making it a habit to never weigh ourselves. We have PLENTY of clothes we cannot fit into as a guide to our weightloss.

The scale has defeated me twice and I wont let it happen again!

Cool

Ditto...I threw my scale in the garbage long ago. Can't let a peice of metal and springs determine how we feel and whether we are doing a good job at this WOL!

I threw my scale out the other day. I'm going by my hip measurement now.

I should the same. It really IS a bad habit...for me at least. but its so hard to resist the tempation to just stand on it and see the 3 digit numbers .

one trick i learned about being tempted to step on the scale too often, is i had my husband hide it, then get it out for weekly to every two week weigh ins... it helps a lot. I can't step on it, if i don't know where it is.

If I were to believe my scale I'd say that the Atkins diet doesn't work...Nevermind that I am back in my old clothes! hahaha
