Default I am just over two weeks and feeling great...

I really am starting to notice small little changes in my body, I can actually suck my tummy in, no bloating at all. I am so sorry that I was one of those that was so brainwashed into thinking that Atkins was bad. My doc even said you do what is going to work for you. If this gets the unhealthy weight off then " you go girl" He just said to make sure that I check in once in a while so he can weigh me in, and cheer me on. What a nice guy!! The support at home has been great too. Everything just seems to falling into place and I can't wait to see the changes in me over the next months...

Happy, Happy, Happy

Congrats Swanhopes!

Oh and now the changes begin.......

What helps me is thinking how much better it will be in 2,
3, 4, 6 weeks.

Oh, and how I really, really, don't miss the 'bloated' feeling.

I love being able to bend over (completely).

Keep it up Swan, lets talk about how better we are in another 4 weeks??

Welcome Swanhopes and the fact that you have support from your doctor and family will make it so much easier.

It is so good, I have never had that kind of support from anyone before. I was teased by my family more, than I was at school when I was young, don't get me wrong it's not a pity party, but more like a awakening of sorts. There are things poppin out of my emotions, and it is hard not to try and stuff them down with some good ole carbs. But not this time, little insecure girl on my left shoulder is being helped by the strong new woman on the right...

Congrats on the loss! It IS good to feel better, isn't it? And it's really awesome that you are getting some support at home, and at the doc's office.

I'm starting to notice some little things changing, too. Isn't it odd how you don't really notice the extent of the impairments until they suddenly disappear?

Keep on keeping on, Swanhopes!

Congratulations! The two week mark is where I go from questioning Atkins to embracing it with fervor. And I know because I have been through those first two weeks many times. But don't let that discourage you, Atkins has never failed me once. It was I who failed Atkins. If I could go back and provide this level of insight and experience based knowledge into my mind the first time out, I would be touching the floor right now too!

I do know what you mean, 1791KLM. For years, I did Atkins '72 successfully and then met the man of my dreams! Well, needless to say, 4 years married now and I'm still trying to get back to the way I used to eat. I've started and re-started. Today though, I'm making the commitment again and for the next few weeks, I'll use you guys to keep me on goal.

Congrats, Swan! I remember the feeling; your story really encouraged me this morning to feel that again!

That's great swan hopes. I wish we could bottle this feeling so we could take it out later when we need it to help us through the rough patches. Good luck

Super fantastic, this is how it works if you just stick with it.

Down the road a few months, you can look back and see how much you've lost and it will actually seem like it happened quicker than it might feel right now. You're doing great!
