Question Is Hydroxycut a drug?

When I was shopping for soy powder in a healthfood shop today, I saw that they've a product called Hydroxycut. I read it in here that some of u are taking Hydroxycut (or Hydrolean). The saleslady told me that Hydroxycut is a supplement for losing weight, not a drug at all. I read its ingredients & noticed that some of their ingredients have been mentioned in the Atkin's book. I logged into Hydroxycut's official website & read about it, it looks ok. Has anyone tried this product? Does Hydroxycut work? Is it really not a slimming drug? Did this product give u any side-effects? After u stopped taking Hydroxycut, did u gain back some weight?
I'm sorry for asking so many questions. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank u, happy low-carbing.

Default Hydroxycut

It's main ingredient is Ma Huang or Ephedra. It should not be used by anyone with a long list of risk factors such as high blood pressure, risk factors for heart disease or stroke, and some others that I can't think of right now. Please read the label carefully.

That said, I use it. I have tried other products, Metabolife, BetaTrim, Ripped Fuel, but Hydroxycut 1. works for me, and 2. doesn't hype me up. If you choose to use this type of supplement, just be wise and listen to your body.

Also, drink extra water, ephedra has diuretic properties!

There is a thread at the top of the General Exercise forum that we refer to as the "mother of all thermogenics thread" It discusses products like Hydroxycut and Hydrolean at great length - their pros and cons. I suggest you take a peek at it.
