Default Something of a lowcarb enigma?? Oh help!

What the heck is wrong with me! I'm starving all the time! I wake up everyday in a hypoglycemic episode or what feels like one to me and I can't shake it all day. I'm soooo hungry.

I'm beginning to feel really lousy. I've been doing this a year, I haven't changed much in the amount of food I eat . I try to keep my fat up but it's getting to the point where I'm getting really discouraged.

I had been doing the anti-candida regime and did really well on it but now that I've stopped I'm super hungry.

for example I will eat 2 eggs and 4 pieces of bacon and be hungry in an hour. At 4:30 I at 2 hamburg patties with fried onions and a large salad and I'm starving at 7:30.

what is up with that?? Please help.

Hi QT,

I'd say enjoy it! A healthy appetite is a sign of good metabolism. If you are worried about "fake hunger" make sure you drink lots of water, and don't forget your supplements.

Try and deduce if it's true hunger or if it is a craving. You might also need to up your water as thirst can seem like hunger.

Eat smaller amounts more frequently. You shouldn't feel hungry, but just satisfied.

Default well, Karen........

but I've been doing this a good long time and believe me this is not a craving, or boredom. This is deep in my body, tummy rumblin' hungry. I'm just gonna have to eat more although mentally I really don't feel like it.

Default Just a thought

If it really is none of the above you may have to think outside of the low carb box. Do you have a thirst as well?

If it is a worry, and I should add I am not a Dr., it might be worth having a check for Diabetes.
