Default Video recommendations for klutzes?

Ok, I've bought several exercise DVDs I didn't like because they go too quickly through it, assume you can catch onto the moves really fast and don't have two left feet. I always feel like a dork trying to use those. Like I spend the first 30 seconds of each move trying to figure out what they're doing, then by the time I've almost grasped it, they've moved onto something else.

Is there anything out there that isn't so danged complicated or at least walks you through all the moves in a reference area? I Have a yoga video that has a section for every move which is great! Then once you've mastered them, you can go through their workout.

Any suggestions?

I found the "Walk Away the Pounds" videos pretty easy to do for klutzes like myself. In fact, you don't even need that much space to do the moves, and furthermore - there's no "floor work" which I like.

A lot of the moves are almost like walking in place, it's that easy.

Hope this helps,

Sara

I'll second the Walk Away The Pounds recommendation. There is almost no choreography to deal with.

The same holds true for things like Pilates (although you still need something with aerobic benefit), balance ball workouts, and programs like Slim In Six, Project: You!, Power 90, Great Body Guaranteed. (LOL I'm a Beach Body fan in case you couldn't tell)

The other suggestion I have is for you to hit the library and check out videos there. No sense in buying them until you've tried them on and you can do that there! Also, check out collagevideo.com - they have workouts of every kind you can imagine and 60 second video clips so you can preview them and see what you think.

HTHS!

Nancy.........anything by the Firm! They do a really great job of starting each workout out with basic moves, and them building on those moves throughout the video. The cueing is the most excellent part.....they let you know what they're going to do before they do it. Even people with 2 left feet (like me) can master the step videos in just a few sessions.

BTW...as with any video, you just have to try and gut it through in the beginning....you get better at it the more you practice, and it becomes stuck in your subconscious. It's gotten now that I can do my favorite step video without the video,

I know if I stuck to it, eventually, in several decades, I might be able to master the moves and not look like a moose with palsy, I just get discouraged because they're too complex and quit!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

I really like the Five Tibetans. It's only 5 simple exercises, but it works your whole body and it's so easy to remember. If you're traveling or at work you can still do them.
