Default Obesity problem in China & Vegetarian issues

Read from a post at the PP's community message board....

The obesity problem in China is indeed heading in the same direction as North America and other developed countries...the increment in wealth would mean the increment in life standards including health problems.

Yet none recommended High protein/low carb dieting. Instead they recommended the usual diet which is such a failure and hazard.

So why are people still so biased against high protein and low carbing? I wonder why since high protein diets are so efficient, yet not much public bodies officially accept it as the main diet of today?

I've been to some talks held by Buddhism bodies, which they talked abt the good points being vegetarian. And they are pretty convinced that human is meant to take only vegetables, grains but not animal flesh. Other than moral reasons, it is also because of the structure of the human teeth. Our teeth structure is similar to other herbivorce animals such as horses. But I wondered if living things are always undergoing evolution to adapt to physical global changes, so meaning our teeth structure will not be constant?

And among the replies of the posts includes MSG being added in Chinese cooking. Personally I don't really agree that most chinese cooking include MSG... but for chinese restaurants/takeaways, they need to maintain their businesses. But it is natural for most of the F&B businesses to find ways to increase their profits.

Hope to know of any comments abt these...
