Default Stressfull days and LC'ing

As an overweight person I thought food was the source of most things happy. We go to parties and look for the good expensive foods, parents houses for comfort foods our own houses where there just happens to be our favorite foods.

Well I must tell you after 6 months of LC'ing food isn't everything and I have had to live every emotion prior to coming to that conclusion. I had a very bad day and decided to make a grilled cheese sandwich using LC bread, cheddar and probably a 1/2 stick of butter. It looked awesome and tasted great but it wasn't the source of happiness that I use to receive from such delectable treats. So after a couple of bites I put it down and sorted out the problems and didn't let the problems push me to that carb filled comfort zone that I use to call happy.

To all of you who are new to this WOL even though this is tough and most definitely a battle, feel what your feeling, share what you know and do not give up because stressful days will test the will power of the best LC'ers.

I just needed to share...

Shannon

Thank you for sharing, well done for succeeding through your struggle, it's very reassuring to know that I'm not the only one who has struggled.

Thumbs up Thank you

Shannon,

Thank you for sharing that. I have only been LCing for a little over two weeks and I can already feel the difference about how I think about food. I don't eat to comfort, hide feelings or get that "Carb High" anymore, but I still want to eat when I'm bored. Although I'm still getting used to the choices I have, and I still get the urge to eat candy, I can definitely overcome them easily.

It is such a relief not to obsess about food anymore!!

Carolyn
