Question Another Question

I see a lot of people posting about taking their supplements. I am taking a multi vitamin, potassium and flax oil/omega 3's. Any others people suggest that seem to help with dropping weight?

I appreciate all the replys.

Thanks,
lynnp

Well, I don't know how much they help with weight loss (since I am a sloooooooowwwww loser) and some of the sups I take are suppose to help with blood sugar control. I take quite a variety, probably more than I need, but oh well - my body, my science experiment

I take a good multi, pottasium, calcium/mag, biotin, B1, B complex, alpha lipoic acid, green tea extract, liquid flax oil, liquid fish oil, and L Glutamine.

In addition to what you listed, I take an E suppliment and a calcium supliment. Some studies have come out saying that extra calcium can help with weight loss. I think the Atkins site has a couple of articles on it, just type in calcium in the search feature. Good luck and congrats on your lose so far

I don't have my Atkins book with me, but he suggests some supplements for weight loss, I think L-carnitine is one. Chromium is another, but I don't know the dosages or anything. If you don't have the book, you might go to the bookstore and just leaf through it and read the section on supplements. Or get it from the library!

Thanks again,

My doctor (who recommended Atkins and is on Atkins maintenance herself) said that only a daily vitamin is really necessary as long as you are eating your veggies , but I also take fish oil, calcium, and a psyllium husk ( for fiber/regularity) tab daily just cause they make me feel good . I know that I probably get more vitamins in my body now on this WOE than I ever did before though, with or without the supplements. Gotta love LC!!
