Default Unsweetened kool-aid...

I've recently found a Kool-Aid flavor that I LOVE... it's the Pinapple Aqua Frescas. I also drink the Mango Aqua Frescas sometimes for variety.
Anyway, I've found that with this I easily drink a gallon of liquid per day. I only sweeten with stevia(zero carbs) and fit day gives me .92 (call it 1) carb for the gallon. That count applies to any Kool-Aid flavor.
Is there any reason this is a bad thing? I know alot say only "pure" water, but I was starting to struggle with that. Sometimes feeling like I'd gag, even though I was thirsty. This actually makes it enjoyable.

I don't know why its a problem whether its kool-aid or plain water cause if you drank a gallon of water then ate a packet of kool-aid with a little stevia in it then no one would say a thing, other than maybe tell ya thats a little odd...lol

A question I have for ya is how much stevia do you use?... I bought the pure stevia powder and am trying to make the switch from Splenda to stevia and I think maybe I use too much or something cause it tastes bad to me, kind of bitter or tart.

That kool-aid flavor sounds good, we don't have those flavors at Kroger where I shop here....I'll have to look around at some other stores for those.

I think for me the only reason i'd be nervous about consuming a package of kool-aid per day is that they use chemicals and dyes in pretty much all of their flavors. Those aren't very good for you. It really is best to drink just water, but I don't think it will matter all that much. Yet another one of those "personal choices".

The "less is more" approach really works with stevia. The type of powder i use came with a little tiny "spoon" in it. I use about 4 heaped tiny little spoons per half gallon. But I always start with 3 then taste. I've never measured in a real measuring spoon, but I can try...... looked like a scant 1/4 tsp. Maybe try a 1/8th tsp. then add more to taste.
I admit that stevia does have a bit of it's own flavor, but so do all the other sweeteners.
The "aqua frescas" type Kool-Aids have a very light taste... more refreshing than flavorful, that's why I like them... my DH says they are nasty. LOL

I use unsweetened koolaid sometimes. I dont drink a gallon a day but I have a cup or 2 and make it with liquid splenda for no added carbs. I also make jello with the unsweetened koolaid and knox gelatin and liquid splenda.

I am sure the chemicals and dyes arent great for me, but once in a while I dont mind and would rather have that than many other things out there.
