Default Slimfast Lowcarb Shakes/Bars

I've tried the shakes. they're alright in my opinion. i prefer the chocolate over the the vanilla.

i was wondering, do low carb shakes tend to slow down weight loss process? cuz i use to lose weight really fast and when i started drinking a shake for breakfast my weight loss either goes on a complete stall or barely moves. until i change my breakfast back to the regular eggs/cheese/bacon type stuff..then i notice the weight loss.. is that normal or is it just that one point?

I have read several posts on here from people saying that the shakes/bars cause stalls with them. As you have already noticed from your own past experience. It's best to fix meals with real foods and only use shakes/bars as a rare substitute when there's really no time to cook, etc.

Everyone is different though. I never had any problems with the shakes. For a while I was having one every morning. It just depends on the person.

Wouldn't it depend on the ingredients in the shake? If it has sugar alcohols, then a shake would probably stall a lot of people. But if it's a plain old whey protein shake or something, I don't see how that would hinder weight loss (unless you drank 5 gallons of it a day, but that would make me sick!).

Well of course, but I mean for me, the Atkins shakes had no effect on my weight loss. I have been going at a steady pace for a while now.

I have been using the SlimFast shakes since they came out in February having one for breakfast every day. I buy the 15 packs at BJ's.

The results - I have lost 70lbs in six months - just over 3lbs per week average. So - it hasn't stalled me at all. The Chocolate flavor is the best on the market by far - and they are much cheaper than the Atkins shakes. 15 cans for $16.49 beats the $7 for 4 cans any day.
