Hello Cabo Helen & welcome to the forum!

I think the Atkins book says that avacados are ok to eat on the diet. If you can't get the Atkins book, try the website. www.atkinscenter.com. That is where I started researching all the information before I bought the book. It has tons of info on how to follow this WOE (way of eating). It tells you the science behind the approach, the 4 phases, a list of acceptable foods, and some great recipes! Hope this helps.

I think I read in his book that one half of a Avacado has 6 carbs in it.

Default Thanks, I Need All The Help? I Can Get

Thank You A Lot For The Info. On The Web Page To Get The Info. I Am Needing. Living Here In The Land Of Avacados, I Really Needed To Find Out That They Are A Good Food, So This Morning I Have Read The Dr. Atkins Web Page, And Got So Much Out Of Reading It, We Are Going Up To Calif, Next Month So I Can Buy The Book Then. But The Wait Will Be Not In Vain, As I Am Going To Eat The Right Way Starting Yesterday, Next Question, About My Oatmeal Every Morning? Any Ideas As To How Bad That Is, Have Had Divtuliatis Surgery. So It Is A Must For Me. Oh Life Is So Good To Me.
